In the Light of a Guru: Ashwin Ramesh Shines in To My Beloved Teacher
Writers' Kalam Literary Bulletin is proud to present its Coauthor Spotlight — a special feature that honours the voices behind our upcoming anthology, To My Beloved Teacher. This heartfelt project brings together reflections, tributes, and creative expressions that celebrate the profound impact of teachers and mentors across all walks of life.
Our first featured contributor is Ashwin Ramesh, a gifted writer and educator hailing from Kannur, Kerala. A passionate teacher and a current postgraduate student, Ashwin also serves as a faculty member at an IAS academy, nurturing the aspirations of future civil servants with clarity and commitment.
Ashwin’s poem, "More Than A Light", was one of the first to be selected for the anthology and stands out for its soulful depiction of a teacher’s enduring influence. His literary voice balances intellectual depth with heartfelt expression — the very spirit that To My Beloved Teacher aims to embody.
Over the years, Ashwin has penned and published short stories, articles, and poems, establishing his place as a consistent contributor to creative spaces. An admirer of uncommon literary endeavours, he thrives on reading works that stretch beyond the conventional. His creative pursuits are often accompanied by the tunes of Jazz and 80s Western music, genres that reflect his eclectic tastes and reflective personality.
