Final Call: Celebrate the Power of Teaching in 'To My Beloved Teacher' Anthology
Writers' Kalam Publishing is proud to present the upcoming anthology To My Beloved Teacher, a heartfelt initiative launched to honour teachers and mentors who have left an indelible mark on our lives. This anthology aims to provide the student community — and the wider circle of writers — an opportunity to express gratitude towards those guiding lights who helped shape their journeys.
At the heart of every meaningful life story stands a teacher — someone who, knowingly or unknowingly, lights the path ahead. Teaching is far more than the transmission of knowledge; it is an intricate art, a delicate craft, and a profound science. True teachers don't just teach — they inspire, transform, and empower.
Through To My Beloved Teacher, we seek to celebrate not only traditional teachers from classrooms but also mentors from all walks of life: coaches, spiritual guides, parents, colleagues — anyone who has played the role of a teacher.
In addition to heartfelt expressions of gratitude, the anthology also welcomes broader reflections on the art, craft, and evolving dynamics of teaching. What defines a great teacher? How has teaching adapted in today’s digital era? Through poetry, short fiction, essays, and personal narratives, this anthology will capture the universal, timeless bond between teacher and student.
From the many heartfelt submissions already received, two outstanding poems have been selected for early showcasing:
-
"More Than A Light" by Ashwin Ramesh
-
"Teacher Divine" by Rachael Savina Goveas
Both pieces beautifully embody the spirit of mentorship and inspiration, setting a high standard for the collection.
However, to complete this special project, we are announcing a Final Call for Submissions! If you have ever wanted to thank a teacher or reflect on the deeper role of education, now is your chance to be part of this inspiring tribute.
