Engineer, Author, Changemaker: Mridusmita Das Celebrates the Spirit of Mentorship

A Voice of Strength and Story: Mridusmita Das Joins To My Beloved Teacher Anthology

Writers’ Kalam Literary Bulletin is delighted to spotlight the prolific and dynamic Mridusmita Das, whose deeply personal prose submission “My Beloved Teacher” has been selected for inclusion in the upcoming anthology To My Beloved Teacher. Known for her literary passion, career excellence, and inspirational voice, Mridusmita’s contribution brings a powerful, emotional resonance to this tribute collection.

With over 17 years of experience in the IT industry, Mridusmita currently works as a Project Manager with a reputed multinational company. An academic achiever, she holds a distinction in Electronics and Communication Engineering. But beyond her technical expertise, Mridusmita is a storyteller at heart.

Her literary journey began early, with poems and write-ups published in newspapers and magazines since childhood. She officially entered the publishing world with her debut novel, A Widow – Rebirth from Her Ashes, released on August 15, 2023, an introspective masterpiece chronicling her transformation and self-discovery.

From there, her journey only soared. Her fun, adventurous series Sparrows of Michigan captivated readers, and since then, she has authored 14 bestsellers, including 5 solo books and contributions to 9 anthologies.

Some of her acclaimed titles include:

  • A Quote a Day Miracle Everyday

  • Love Connection

  • Calm Down the Angry Bird Within: The Mantra to P(e)acify

  • Stories of Courage – Volumes 1 & 2

  • Broken Relationships – 2 for Tango, 3 is Crowd (a reader favourite)

In a heartwarming collaboration, she co-authored Riya and the Rooster with her 9-year-old daughter — a delightful early learning book released on March 6, 2025. Her first poetry collection, Symphony – Soulful Rhythm, is set to be released on March 21, 2025, to mark World Poetry Day.

Mridusmita’s contributions extend beyond writing. She is a prominent speaker, having spoken at the World Book Fair 2024’s Lekhak Manch, on AIR North East for Women’s Day 2024, and in academic institutions like IIT Roopar and Shrimanta Shankar Academy, her alma mater. She actively moderates and participates in author talks, inspiring young minds everywhere.

Recognised by India Today NE for her outstanding contribution to literature, Mridusmita is not only an author but a changemaker, also dedicating time to charity work for street dogs.

Her heartfelt piece “My Beloved Teacher” is a touching homage that reflects the gratitude we often hold silently for our mentors. Her voice will undoubtedly leave a mark in this anthology — just as teachers leave their mark on our lives.
